This hotel is a real hidden gem in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk from Copacabana Beach. The staff are friendly and willing to help with anything you need. The rooms have a charming colonial style and are kept very clean. I loved that my room had a balcony where I could enjoy the fresh air. The basic amenities, like air conditioning and a TV, were all provided. The best part? Breakfast was included, and it was a great way to start the day.
Everything was fine and there's nothing that I believe needs improvement.

I loved this hotel! It is a quaint small old hotel tucked away in the back of Copacabana on a quiet back street. My room (at the back of the hotel) was quiet - and dark - with no traffic noise. The staff went out of their way to help me. Several could speak reasonably good English - which was a blessing as I have discovered that few people in Brazil do so. The hotel is perfect for someone who wants to stay at the beach without having to put up with all the noise of the beach. I would highly recommend it under these circumstances
It took a while for the hot water to come through one morning. My bed creaked...! Nothing serious.

I loved the location of the hotel, just a few minutes away from the busy main street with lots of shops and cafes, yet it was situated in a quiet residential street. It was easy for me to get to Copacabana beach, either by walking down the main street or taking the nearby metro. The hotel staff were also extremely helpful, making sure my stay was pleasant. I also couldn't complain about the cleanliness of the place.
None.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The bathroom was a bit doggy: long wait for hot shower-water; shower curtain not large enough to keep normal splashing in the shower area. This was nothing serious, but I'm probably more tolerant of such things than many. "Locks" on the closet were a joke, one would just pull the locked doors open.

ideal location .. close to Copacabana but in a very quiet and safe area ... very nice breakfast in the hotel room/ balcony .. extremely friendly and helpful staff always at disposal for any kind of question
correct but not perfect bathrooms .. overall would recommend the hotel for a week-end trip (or long week-end) .. for sure good value-price relationship outside the high season of Carneval (a bit overprized - as everything during Carneval season - we stayed at Carneval)

I recently stayed at this hotel for a few nights and had a really enjoyable experience. the value for money was great - the prices were very reasonable considering the location in a calm street of Copacabana, not far from a metro station. Secondly, the staff were fantastic - they were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Thirdly, the basic amenities were all there - the rooms had air conditioning and a TV, and they were kept very clean. Additionally, I loved the colonial-style decor of the hotel, complete with a balcony, which added a charming touch. Lastly, the breakfast included in the stay was delicious - a great way to start the day.
All was fine, no complaints!

Located in the Copacabana beach area, situated on a quiet neighborhood, Santa Clara is a great low-budget option. It's situated down a main street full of restaurants, beauty parlors, and stores. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with AC and king-sized beds. the staff is friendly, providing touristic advice and helping with taxis.
Breakfast is simple and served in the room.

Staff very friendly and helpful, felt very safe there,
Shame breakfast is only served in the room, would have been nice to meet other guests over breakfast.

We moved to this hotel on our first night in Rio because the original hotel in Lapa we booked was in bad location and run down so we were very happy when we found the Santa Clara. The staff were great and very friendly, most of them speak English , they were very helpful and most went out of the way, the rooms and the hotel have lots of old world charm! We enjoyed the in-room breakfast service, they take security very seriously even though this part of Rio is quite and safe!
If I have to be picky the mattress could be a little bit ticker but still I had a good night sleep despite of this

Great location. Loved the fact that this hotel was located near a lot of restaurants and shops which made it really easy to explore the area. the staff are friendly and are willing to help with your requests. the room amenities such as the TV and air conditioning functioned properly and were enjoyable to use.
The room itself was a bit small. the bathroom was tight and not the cleanest.

It is nearly located to the beach (10 minutes) and to the Metro (5 minutes). The staff was really nice and helpfull and they speak english.
The breakfast is way to small and the room had a light smell.

The service was exelent, very nice staff...
They say it is copacabana, but in reality it is barra peixoto which is a little further away from the copacabana. A lot of taxi drivers didn't even know where it was. If you don't speak portuguese and you tell the driver copacabana you'll be lost...........

The neighborhood of Copacabana is very charming, with a lot of small restaurants and café's. And one has to walk only 10 to 15 minutes to the famous beach. The hotel is small, simple, clean and quiet, the staff very friendly.
Breakfast is a little bit too simple. Bread and coffee could be of a better quality.
